Oguri Shun!!

Day 2: Tokyo -> Osaka

Breakfast at Denny's

We checked out of our hotel in the morning, as we were leaving for Osaka by bus tonight. After checking out, we headed to Denny's for breakfast, where I had french toast and tea. I was apprehensive about spending too much and did not dare to order the normal breakfast sets which cost more and were more sumptous. Luckily Wan Ping offered me some of her scrambled eggs :)

Bx reading the bill. wp was on the phone with her mum. So sweet of her mum to check on her in the morning :)

A stealth shot of wp on the phone...

Whoo! Our first real day in Tokyo (the day before didn't count, we were too tired to explore much)....we didn't know where to go and in the end decided on Akihabara, cos wp wanted to buy a new digicam and visit the waiter kissa (waiter coffeeshop). She bought a lovely neon pink Sony Cybershot camera at a discount. yay!

Hotpot #2

Lunch was at a nabe restaurant in Akihabara. We couldn't find the waiter kissa! oh well. We had seafood hotpot (or nabe as was it is termed here). The place looked like where salarymen would bring their clients to for lunch. So, annoyingly, the waiters weren't very patient with us - 3 obviously foreign and very young (read: not rich) women. The food was ok....the soup became really salty as the meal went on.

After!

Salty salty salty!

After lunch, we were tired from walking and went back to our hotel to rest until it was time to go to Shinjuku station (the bus pick-up point). My sister crashed on the table while wp & i read wp's magazines. Soon it was time to go!

In the hotel lobby

High tension!

Since we had an hour to spare before boarding the bus, we decided o find a place to kill time. I decided on a cafe with rows of sundaes in the display window. Inside the cafe, we saw a Oguri Shun lookalike!!! He was sitting just next to us! It wasn't hard to give away our excitement. We were giggling and fidgeting and taking so many pictures of 'ourselves'. He glanced at our direction several times. haha.

My order! Chocolate sundae and tea.

The view is great from here!

We love our seats!

After a long wait in the freezing wind, the bus came and it was time to board. We settled into our seats gratefully.

After a while, the driver told us that we were in the wrong seats! Bewildered, we stared at the driver. He went back to the entrance, looked at the side of the steps and told us where to sit. Apparently the seating arrangement was pasted next to the bus entrance (we realised when we got off at the bathroom stops) What the...

There's a seating arrangement??? Haha we didn't even know it existed! Haha *mouth twitches*

The bus journey took 8 hours in total and there were bathroom stops every few hours. Before we knew it, we had reached Kanjani8's 地盘 - Osaka.

The light fixture in the cafe - love it!
