ようこそJAPAN!

Depart for Japan

Taken in the cab on the way to Changi Airport.

Hi Mum! Hi Dad! We arrived in Bangkok safe & sound!

An overly excited bao.

We had a 4-hour stopover in Bangkok, during which we went for a 1hr massage to try to ease the stiffness in our bodies from the flight. We also walked from one end of the airport to the other - damn tiring! And it wasn't really that exciting cos the shops are repeated in each wing.

One of our finds during our walk:
A large scale Hindu sculpture depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. It depicts Vishnu (on the rock-looking thing), coordinating the effort between the dark and light forces to the churn the cosmic ocean of milk.

I got hungry so I sat down to a dinner of Pad Thai.

Itadakimasu!

Jia ah!

Our plane departed for Tokyo at 11.30pm. We sat next to a very nice Japanese man. He's about 50years old, and very genial. He offered to help us stow our bags in the overhead compartment. And he helped me retrieve my bag again when I realised i forgot to switch off my handphone!

*beams* What a sweet uncle.
